A GRATIFYING JOB
This is the only path that will lead you to self-comfort most especially in those difficult situations that you are most likely to face in the future with your child. Sometimes you will disapprove your child’s actions and attitude, but you do not want to affect the child negatively. When conception happens, your gratifying job as a parent finally begins.
PARENTING THE PERFECT JOB
Most parents want nothing but the best for their children. For a parent, their children are the ones who bring delightful joy in their lives, and though sometimes it is unavoidable that they too can bring pain. No one is perfect and you must accept that fact.
TRAIN YOUR CHILD TO BE SELF-RELIABLE
Give your child responsibilities which make them feel important. They will feel you gave them this task because you were confident in knowing they could complete it and they were the best person for the job. If you suddenly noticed that you constantly give in to your child’s negavtive behavior, pause and ask yourself what is causing you to make that choice.
ALLOW THE CHILD TO MAKE CHOICES
Ask your child when would they like to their chores. For instance, would you do your chores before or after school today?
Show the feeling back to your child; Often times when you start to show compassion to your child by reflecting back what they are feeling is helpful. It is hard to leave something most especially before you are actually done, isn’t it?
Relate to them what you are seeing and say what you would like to see – Oh! You really like saying NO. If your child argues, all you have to do is to repeat that rule over and over, as opposed to with you entering into a debate.
MEMORIES FOR THE FUTURE
Spending time together should be special or they will not want to even remember these times spent together, and this will easily be just an activity that they do not want to participate in. But, If it happens to make them feel good, they are most likely to want to do the experience again, keep it simple, happy, inspirational and upbeat for the whole family. A planned simple dinner that is delicious and nutritious, but does not create stress while preparing it.
PROBLEMS FOR PARENT AND CHILD
Never appear to be a sore loser or someone who constantly brings up what use to be. Most parents often think that they know better and that can be the biggest part of the problem, we actually don’t.
