Did your parents punish you by spanking?
are you using other ways to parent your children?
My Dad used a belt and sometimes when he was really angry, he would hit way to hard and the belt left welts… it me years but I forgive him now.
I took P.E.T parenting effective training class at the YWCA..and I raised my son without spanking.
My Dad used to beat me, and worse. My Mum would hit me sometimes but I am never going to spank my son or any other children I have. Hitting a child when they misbehave just teaches them that it is ok to hit other people when they do something wrong.
