I don’t feel good enough?
We just moved. No one is happy about it. My parents yell at me for liking The Beatles, Oasis, Jimi Hendrix, etc. while my sisters are just fine with their Disney stuff. Today my parents took away my bedroom door and electronics AND privileges of getting out of the house for yelling at my sister when she said she wished I would die. Nothing happened to her.
I’m more athletically and academically gifted than them, I don’t get into fights, I play with my smallest sis’ more often than them, and I help more than my two middle sisters. But i don’t feel good enough. What is up her? and what can i do?
I’m the oldest.
Kaitlyn,
Being a young teen today has a lot of stresses, but for some reason I feel that with your sisters and what has been happening you feel a bit invisiable with it comes to the parents showing their love and attentions for you very much or hardly at all.
That punishment was so outrageous , they went too far, are you their first ? Sometimes there are parents who put the oldest up to a magnifying glass and everything picked apart. You are their dreams put together and if it goes anyway from the middle they can’t handle it.
The smaller sister that didn’t get punished , that’s the part too that isn’t fair. Oh , she’s too young to know better , but you do.
If you could not lose it when you know it would make you feel better. wait and go off by yourself and cover your mouth and scream and get it out of your system.
All will take notice that you no longer have a anger problem and the door will go back and all the other things they took.
I wish you all the best…………….
